The Feldberg resort includes the largest and oldest nature reserve in Baden-Württemberg.

Hikers are attracted among other things by the Feldberg-Steig premium hiking trail on the “roof of the Black Forest”. You’ll enjoy the idyllic trails and sweeping panoramas on and around its highest peaks.

The recommended starting point for the best tours of the mountain hiking area is the top station of the Feldberg railway at 1,450 metres. You also get a fantastic view of the peaks from the observation deck on the 11th floor of the Feldberg tower all the way to the Vosges and even as far as the Alps. In winter this is Baden-Württemberg’s largest and oldest winter sports area – 28 lifts in the Feldberg lift network, four of which are chairlifts and 24 T-bars, bring winter sports enthusiasts to the slopes. Skiers and snowboarders can access a total of 50 kilometres of slopes – from blue to world cup black.

If you’d prefer to discover the snowy mountains by hiking on them, we have also prepared a constant 60 kilometres of winter hiking trails for the cold weather. These include two signposted snowshoe trails and numerous tobogganing slopes.

Feldberg and its districts of Altglashütten, Neuglashütten, Bärental and Falkau offer their guests overnight accommodation options in picturesque mountain huts, comfortable holiday units, family-run guesthouses and stylish hotels. In addition, the village has repeatedly been classified as especially family-friendly for many years.
